THE FACES BEHIND
Jessica Walford is a self-taught visual artist based in Karratha, Western Australia. Known for her dreamy ocean & mandala themed artworks that are created in a purpose-built studio in the heart of her home that she shares with her husband, and her three young children. Her “Three Birds”.
Jess grew up on the south coast of NSW where the beach and being on the water was a major part of her upbringing. This love of the ocean continued with relocating to Karratha in 2010, and is a major source of her inspiration. Jess fell in love with the Pilbara and has become a valued member of the community.
Deeply influenced by her love of the ocean & nature, Jess’ designs and colours in each piece are memories of her sun-chasing adventures. Jess’ curious, playful nature has allowed her to have experience working in watercolour, acrylic, alcohol ink, traditional oil, resin, woodworks & digital design.
Jess’ practice is based on an interest in how art can contribute to mental health, in which she is now a Certified Therapeutic Art Life Coach.
Jess loves to keep her artworks unique and functional and has become internationally renowned, with works finding themselves in private collections around the world.
With a long-term goal of entering the Archibald Prize, Jess is currently exploring murals & laser cut steel art in her practice, with dreams of one day holding her own exhibition.
From the daydream to the studio, Jessica Walford is the artist behind it all. Instagram is the primary platform for showcasing Jess' art so do follow @jessicawalford_artist and @threebirdshomewares to keep up with the latest.

MEGAN
Adventurer at heart, embracing life’s wild ride with two kids, two dogs, and a passion for art and the great outdoors. Whether it’s caravanning across Australia, discovering hidden coastal gems, or chasing sunsets on a faraway island, I live for the moments that turn into unforgettable stories. Fueled by creativity, family, and resilience—because life’s too short not to dive headfirst into new beginnings.
ALEX
Mum of four, adventurer at heart, and a Pilbara local for 14 years (despite the “quick” plan!). Whether it’s boating, camping, or chasing golden hour at Hearsons Cove, we’re always exploring. When I’m not wrangling kids, I’m lost in art, craft, and photography—because life’s too short to be dull, and a little weird makes it more fun!
SORCHA
Born and raised in Karratha, I’m passionate about fostering creativity and connection. With experience in education, coaching, and art, I love supporting my community and creating safe, inspiring spaces. Currently studying Fine Arts and Art History at UWA, I’m always seeking new experiences, meaningful connections, and creative adventures.
SETH
Born in Karratha, and always up for an adventure—whether it’s fishing, camping, riding my motorbike, or gaming with my mates. I’ve just started working at Three Birds Creative, but I’ve been part of it since day one, watching Mum’s business grow. Hanging around the studio has taught me a lot, and I enjoy helping out wherever I can!
